NWR-1 resident Martin Harris never served in the military, but he is a passionate supporter of troops serving to defend the United States.  So much so, that he is leading an effort to create a national monument memorializing the soldiers who have served and are serving in the fight against global terrorism since 9/11.

Mr. Harris's son, Martin Harris II (NHS '94) serves in the Army as Staff Sergeant in the 82nd Airborne.  SSgt. Harris served in Kuwait and did two tours in Afghanistan and will be stationed in Mosul, Iraq this month.
